The GrippaThe Grippa replaces the need for ropes and can be used in situations where Installers are unable to pass rope around the steel. It’s ideally suited for precast concrete sections or metal deck flooring systems. The Grippa secures to the bottom flange with a one fix and quick release mechanism. It also incorporates the hooks designed to carry the Safety Nets specifically designed for these standards. When rigged, the nets cross over beneath the beam and the load is applied to the metal clamp (the webbing strap is simply to hold the device onto the beam).Although maximum-rigging centres of 2.5m can be used, in practice 1.8m centres are recommended as this prevents wasting of the net. The hooks can also be used to hook the excessive sag in the net. The Grippa has been independently tested in accordance with the dynamic load requirements of BSEN1263-1 and provides a safe secure means of attachment.
